2nds Worlds is Sydney’s original factory seconds outlet, bringing savings to Sydney’s bargain hunters for over 35 years directly from the manufacturers. 2nds World needed a strong online presence with an reliable eCommerce system that could integrate into their legacy inventory system.

The Lab worked closely with 2nds World to identify and analyse the business and technology requirements to open their first online store. Our designers came up with a look and feel that was not only easy to use but maintained the integrity of their established brand.

Our crowning achievement on the project was technical design and implementation of a system based on the Drupal CMS and Ubercart eCommerce technology; the open source products were heavily customised around complex business, ordering and delivery logic. A custom synchronise importer was developed by The Lab to ingest product data from 2nds World's legacy POS system as well integration with a trusted and reliable Australian based payment gateway - eWay.
